Required setup steps

• League of Legends client installation and path setup

  To launch spectate mode, the League of Legends client must be installed and its installation path must be set. For details on how to set the path, please refer to this page.
  
  

• Install the OP.GG Desktop App

  Spectate mode runs through the OP.GG Desktop App. Please install the OP.GG Desktop App before starting spectate mode. (Download the OP.GG Desktop App) 

How to start spectate mode

1. Click the 'Spectate' button for the game you want to watch, either from in-game information or pro spectate.
   
   
   
   
2. After clicking the Spectate button, either the OP.GG app will launch or a terminal message will appear, depending on your OS.
   
   
   • Windows

     When you click Spectate, a popup appears asking to open the OP.GG app. Click [Open OP.GG] to launch spectate mode in the OP.GG app. 

     
   • Mac

     Open [Terminal] and copy the message as shown below into the terminal to automatically start the League of Legends client.
