How to spectate a game

Required settings

1. Installing League of Legends and setting a directory

To play the spectate file, the LoL client must be installed, and the directory must be set.

2. Installing OP.GG for Desktop

Spectating is run through the OP.GG Desktop app.

Please install the OP.GG Desktop app before playing spectate. (Download OP.GG for Desktop)

Spectating a game

1. Click the "Spectate" button in the live game or pro spectate.
   
2. Click the spectate button to run OP.GG for Desktop on each OS or display a terminal message.
   
   • Windows

     When you click "Spectate," a pop-up will appear prompting you to launch the OP.GG app. Click [Open OP.GG] to start spectating within the OP.GG app.
     

   • Mac OS

     Run [Terminal], copy and paste the displayed message into the terminal to automatically launch the LoL client.
