The automatic rune setup is wrong

Check if the OP.GG for Desktop has detected the LoL client. If it hasn’t, try running the OP.GG app as an administrator.

Q. The selected champion is not being recognized.

If you change champions too quickly or frequently, the selected champion may not be recognized due to loading failure. If the champion is not recognized, click the refresh button at the top right corner of the champion’s portrait to ensure it is correctly identified.

Before starting the game, please check the rune page name in the LoL client to make sure it matches your selected champion.

 

Q. The selected champion is set with runes for a different role.

Currently, in the OP.GG desktop app, runes, item sets, and summoner spells are automatically set based on the champion's most popular position.

However, as shown in the attached image, you can use the Position Lock feature to ensure that only the recommended builds for your selected position are applied automatically. Please keep this in mind when using the feature.
