If the overlay is not displaying on your game screen or is not functioning properly, please check the following items in order.
1. Clear cache
- Go to Settings > General > App Settings and click the Clear button under Clear Cache.
- Your login information and settings will be preserved.
- Restart the game and check if the overlay appears.
2. Run as administrator
If your game is running with administrator privileges, the OP.GG app must also run as administrator for hotkeys and overlay clicking and dragging to work properly.
- Right-click the OP.GG icon in the taskbar.
- Click Run as administrator.
3. Enable overlay and verify hotkey
- In the app's left menu, select Overlay > the relevant game.
- Check that the Enable All toggle in the Overlay Features section is turned on. If all features are disabled, the overlay will not display.
- The default in-game overlay hotkey is Shift + Tab, which can be changed in Overlay Hotkey Settings.
If you are using the enhanced overlay, the hotkey is Alt + CapsLock. The enhanced overlay cannot be used if hardware acceleration is disabled.
4. Check graphics card software and third-party overlay apps
If you are using graphics card software such as MSI Afterburner or AMD graphics drivers, or third-party apps that provide overlay functionality, conflicts may prevent the overlay from working properly.
If you are using RivaTuner Statistics Server, try the following two methods to see if the issue is resolved.
1️⃣ Replace Global file
- Navigate to the folder where RivaTuner Statistics Server is installed. (Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server\Profiles)
- Download the Global file and paste it into that folder. (Download Global file)
- Completely close MSI Afterburner and restart it.
2️⃣ Enable Use Microsoft Detours API hooking option
- Run RivaTuner Statistics Server and go to Setup.
- In the General tab, enable the Use Microsoft Detours API hooking option.
3️⃣ Disable Ryzen software in-game overlay
Disable the in-game overlay feature in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition and check again.
5. Reset app
If the issue persists after checking all of the above, reset the app to its initial installation state.
- Go to Settings > General > App Settings and click the Advanced Settings button at the bottom.
- Click the Reset button under Reset App.
⚠️
🎮 [LOL] Additional checks
1. Switch to enhanced overlay
If the standard overlay continues to not display, try switching to the enhanced overlay. The enhanced overlay does not inject a separate module into the game, so it has fewer conflicts with third-party programs.
- In the app's left menu, select League of Legends > Top Bar Overlay.
- Click the Try Enhanced Overlay button at the top of the screen, then click Switch and Restart.
- After the app restarts, launch the game and check if the overlay appears. The in-game hotkey is Alt + CapsLock.
When switching, hardware acceleration will be automatically enabled. To revert to the standard overlay, click Return to Standard Overlay in the same location.
2. Check if the in-game OP.GG logo is displayed
Check if the OP.GG logo appears on the left side of your game screen.
- If the logo is displayed but the overlay panel is not visible, focus mode is enabled. Click the logo to toggle focus mode ON/OFF.
- If the logo itself is not displayed, please check items 1–5 above again.
💡
3. Unsupported game modes
The overlay is not available in some game modes. Please check if the mode you are playing is supported.
If the issue persists after trying all of the above, please save the file from Desktop App Settings > Copy System Information, Get Log File and attach it to your inquiry.
